Custom Sizes

Every photograph in this gallery can be printed to a size that isn't on the list — and framed in a moulding that isn't either. Two things decide what's possible, and both come from the printer itself rather than from any price list.

Every size on this site is the finished piece. Each canvas is actually printed 2″ larger on every side — so a 20″×16″ is cut from a 24″×20″ sheet. That extra border isn't waste: on a gallery wrap it's the part that folds around the wooden stretcher bars, which is what makes the finished piece a true 20″×16″ on the wall. On a raw canvas it arrives as a white margin, and it's exactly what you need to stretch or frame it yourself later.

40″

The short side stops at 40 inches

The printer takes 44″ across, and 4″ of that goes to the border — so the shorter side of any finished piece has to be 40″ or under. The longer side is effectively open: it runs along the roll, and the roll is very long. A 40″×60″ is no problem. A 41″×50″ is not, because its short side is over what the printer can span.

20″

The long side is best at 20 inches and up

The shortest length of canvas that can be cut is 24″, and 4″ of that is border — so 20″ is the smallest finished long side that uses the cut fully. Going below it doesn't save much: that 24″ length is spent either way and the rest is waste, so only the width still affects the price. A 1″×1″ comes out a little cheaper than a 5″×5″, not a fraction of it. Small pieces are poor value for money — at or above 20″ on the long side you get far more print per dollar. That is why only one standard size in the shop sits below it, the 12″×16″; everything else starts at 20″. The shorter side has no minimum at all: 20″×5″, or even 20″×1″ for a slim panel, is genuinely fine.

There's a second reason to size up, and it isn't about money. The offcut doesn't get reused — it's thrown away. A 5″×5″ still eats a 24″×9″ sheet, and almost all of that ends up in the bin. Ordering the larger piece doesn't use more canvas so much as it wastes less of the same canvas: the material is being spent either way, so it may as well end up on your wall instead of in the scrap pile.

The long side — 20″ and up

under 20″ — poor value
20″ upward — priced by size, no real limit
0″ 20″ 36″ 60″ and beyond →

The short side — up to 40″

any width up to 40″ — no minimum
0″ 12″ 16″ 24″ 30″ 40″

So 20″×5″, 40″×60″, 30″×72″ and long panoramas are all printable. A 41″×50″ is not, because its shorter side is more than the printer can span.

Tell me the size you have in mind and the wall it's going on, and I'll tell you what's possible and what it costs. Same for frames — if you want a finish other than the one shown, ask. It's worth inquiring before you order either way, so I can confirm your frame is in stock before you pay for it.

No warehouse, no middleman.

Levy Captured isn't a marketplace — every image in this gallery was shot, edited, and printed by Deron Levy himself. There's no anonymous fulfillment center between you and your print. Send an order and it reaches him directly — he confirms the price and the timing with you himself, and you settle with him once it's finished. Nothing goes on the printer before you've agreed it.
